The Bombardier C-Series range  are narrow body, twin engined,  medium range passenger aircraft .

Comar have supplied the complete turnkey system for  the whole High Lift System comprising of the  flap & slat system and power drive system . This involved complex mechanical design to simulate the exact geometry, inertia and stiffness  as found on the aircraft .  Flight loading conditions were simulated by hydraulically loading each Slat / Flap drive and environmental conditions were simulated by enclosing each unit in an environmental chamber and introducing hot air or liquid nitrogen .

UTC Aerospace  will provide a fully integrated high lift flap and slat system for the aircraft including actuators, power drive units, wing tip brakes, electronic control units, cockpit levers, transmission shafts and sensors. In addition  UTC will also provide the thrust reverser actuation system, an integral part of the nacelle system, for the Pratt & Whitney PurePower™ PW1000G engine that will power the CSeries, for which Comar have provided the TRAS system test rig.
